Lombardy's "Hub Ricerca e Innovazione" Call awarded PRINTMED-3D

Led by professor Paolo Milani, the project will develop an integrated platform for the combined use of virtual reality (VR) environments and 3D additive printing with new materials to respond with cutting-edge technological solutions to the growing demand for personalized medical services based on the patient-specific anatomy concept.

The PRINTMED-3D platform will make it possible to obtain a digital dataset that can be accessed through the network of the Regional Health System, making available data and models that can be used in surgical planning, in the training of specialist doctors and in the continuous updating of doctors in the area, will allow Lombardy's health system to maintain positions of excellence at the clinical, pre-clinical and advanced training levels.
